USB Charging

My Treo 755p charges fine through the USB synch cable when connected to my laptop.

When I plug the same USB synch cable into a 12V-USB charging adapter, the red LED on the Treo doesn't light and the phone doesn't charge.

Any suggestions?

Are we sure the adapter is working properly?

Yes --- the 12V adapter powers and charges a GPS unit successfully via a USB synch cable.

It may not have enough voltage output to charge the treo. You might look at chargers for the treo and compare their output to the one you have on hand. I do not like universal chargers for reasons like this...
