Vista and 755p - Treo Forums

I got a new computer with Vista today. Having problem with calender and color coding categories. On my computer, it appears that they've taken that option away. Has anyone else found this? Has anyone else been able to resolve it? Or, am I missing something totally obvious? If I can't color code my calender categories I'm sunk. (I'm using the Palm software...does the Outlook software color code if I need to change?)

you have to go to palm.com to down load some stuff for vista... It doesn't seem to play nice with just the cd that was with the phone. It took me a couple tries but I seem to have it now.

I have been battling this for a while now and am surprised no one else has commented on this. If anyone has insight I'd certainly appreciate hearing it.

I have confirmation from Palm that the 6.2 beta software that is the software they insist we use for Vista is missing features that the software that works on XP offers. No one is able to provide me with a time-frame for when an update will be available. The Senior Support person I just spoke with transfered me to Palm Corporate for an answer and I all I received was a recording and then a hang up. I'm just a tad bit disgruntled.

I am currently running the original software that came with my 755. But I can't download any software onto my Treo because Quick Install doesn't work with Vista.

Does anyone have any ideas for me. Is anyone as frustrated as I am. If you use the Palm Operating System and are thinking about getting a new computer with Vista...I'd wait until Palm has their act together.

I'm thinking my only real option is to change to the Outlook operating system, but I keep hearing from many of you that it isn't as good. I'd appreciate comment on this as well.

I don't know what I've done... However, I did download it originally off the palm site. After I got my new Treo, I had 2 discs... so I didn't need another coaster, I rolled the dice, and ran it. I haven't had a bit of problem and I can download from both install methods, on the desk top. It's differant than the original one I had when I had the 650. Now I don't use outlook, because I can never get it to work... I do use the windows mail feature on Vista... I'm not sure what's differant about it.
