Default Want to save on battery

Is there a way, a feature or even an application that will make the screen of the treo turn off while on the phone for like 2 min or more?

I know it dims a little but even the buttons stay on and the battery goes bye bye. Even worst... i can't talk much time with it becuase my ear gets all hot :S...

I know many of you might have this problem, so how have you solved it? or would i have to buy a bigger battery?

    thanks in advance

My battery lasts a day or two. You can set your display to dim or to black out in prefs, power.

You should not be losing alot of power there. Bluetooth and programs connecting to the web are the bigger power drainers. You might use a car charger or usb charger at work to keep the treo powered up when you are away from power supplies....

Also your phone should not be getting hot. I would use the ear piece or a bluetooth headset if the phone is too hot.

My ear never gets hot, when I use the phone without the bluetooth. There are several things you can do to "save" the battery, many of which Plunker already laid out for you... You can have the amount of time the backlight stays on, dim the screen... make sure you manually check e mails etc etc... Anything you set to automatic will drain it of course as it's using power to start the programs.

Check out Power Hero. It allows you to make a lot of adjustments to save battery life, including the screen and keyboard auto-off. The only feature that doesn't work for me is the bluetooth auto-off. When I used that, the call had gone to voicemail by the time bluetooth came back on and my headset reconnected.
