Where's My Music -or- Lost in Ptunes Land

Hey Treo Fans,

Went out and bought a memory card today - got sick of not being able to have music on my Treo. =)

Everything seemed to go well, but now I'm lost - I dragged some mp3s into the "send to handheld" folder on my desktop and performed a hotsync. Everything seemed to go as planned, but I can't find the music on my Treo. (Nothing new appeared in Ptunes.) Any thoughts?

(Edited to add - I do see the titles in MiniTones. So maybe what I need to learn is how to move the files around. And then edited again for my spelling. I'm a mess!)

Hello, well you obviously got them on your card, since Minitones will only see files on the card. Open Pocket Tunes and open the options, look around for Update Library. I am using a skin that has a button for the Library and each time I open PT it automatically updates the library to find new tunes, it should find them anywhere they are stored. I store mine on my card. It may even be an option to have PT alutomatically update the library each time it is opened, you would need to checkmark that option.

Wonderful, Pocket Tunes is a fantastic program. If you upgrade it to the Deluxe version and have an unlimited data plan with your carrier, you can also listen to internet radio all over the world. I love that .

Is pocket tunes included with the 755p? I have it but when I open the program it says unable to play audio files, then the program opens. It does not give me a pull down menu with options or a option to update library. Do I need to do a hard reset?

On my card in the audio folder I have a song but ptunes does not find it...

Hi Plunker, yes the standard Pocket Tunes in included on the 755 but it will only play .mp3 files. If you upgrade it to the deluxe version, it will play .wma files and also internet radio.

I have converted a file acc to mpeg or it says mp3 from itunes. I have to move it out of itunes to a folder then load it into the copy to card in missing sync. The song seems to load onto the card but when I try and play it, it is an assortment of my ringtones that mini tones converted. I am syncing it again to see if it will play.

Nope I get this hotsync error
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.mp3 could not be installed (0x2a01)

Any ideas?

Must be something wrong with the file. It won't play and file z when I delete it freezes up. I remove the card and check it with filez and the file is gone. I am going to try a song not converted with itunes....

itunes stuff is all protected and the regular Pocket Tunes will not play an acc file; I know you said that you converted it to an .mp3 but perhaps the licensing is carrying over with it. I never liked iTunes, I buy digital music from the amazon digital store and yahoo music, they are all unprotected when you buy them and already in .mp3 format.

I will try and copy a cd to a folder and see if I can load it. I think it might be a card issue since mac does not see the card in a reader. Though I did load filez to the card last night. Just not music....
