    A BB is a good device, but it does have issues. In addition, it excels at email (to an extent) but nothing else at this time. Did you try the 800W? of the 4 WM devices I have had, it is the best. As for technology, nothing keeps up with it, as it changes/advances daily.

    I don't know how many have had experience with Blackberry's but I would not imagine them putting a Windows operating system on a BB it just won't work. I went from the 650 to the 700wx to the Centrino now on the BB 8830 World Edition had and Instinct too - this was a waste of money! Somethings need to be left to the persons who created them!

    Anyhoo I hope to go back to a Treo at some point but certainly not a 800w!

    Thanks for the insight guys!
    I felt exactly as you, until the specs on the 800w moved me to give WinMo a final try. I have not been disappointed at all. Palm has built into the 800w hardware graphics acceleration so we don't see the typical lag with our screens, which is also helped by putting sufficient memory in the device. The ability to not have to close a program every time you need to switch to another is very handy at times too, which is something that cannot be done on the Palm OS. Plus, the WinMo devices are among the most customizable devices out there, so you can make your Treo 800w look like and act like you want it to for the most part. Is it perfect? No, it has a few issues that I'd classify as minor to moderate: battery life is okay but not stellar, there are volume issues when using a BT headset (manageable but a nuisance), and evidently GPS is not implemented as fully standalone, although advertised clearly as GPS standalone. Still, Palm has already issued two software updates for the device, which is a very quick response, so they seem to be supporting the device well. I'm only looking to see the 800w improve with age, and then maybe next year I'll be able to look at a Nova device.

    to correct you, it IS a micro SD card, not a mini the TREO takes. what's a mini?

    i was gonna do the BB Curve but hated the lil scroll button---whatever the hell that thing is.

    yea, a small keyboard and screen but i didn't want an apple to play video,games and music. on

    also, i paid $199 for mine with my contract. i

    i think these things could(and will improve) but thats why we all move on after a while. in 2 years, i want another new and improved Treo.(or whoever's got a great product).

    an apple is a fruit--sorry:laugh3:

    thats it, a track ball---don't like'em at all.:cool:

    here's what i was referring to from spderman10's post::wink:

    4) Now I know everyone loves the fact that you can use 4GB and 8GB memory cards on the 800w, but why not make the memory slot as Micro SD slot instead of a Mini. I say this because most desktop computers cant read a 4GB or 8GB card which leaves the dedicated ones to spend some more hard earn dollars on a card Reader. And why a WIFI button on my phone. For Sprint customers we have a great, cheap data plan so WIFI is almost not needed.
