I have heard that the 800w will be available on the Verizon network in the fall or in he 3 months. But does anyone know if AT&T will offer the 800w?

Hi:

Keep in mind the 800w is a CDMA device and AT&T is a GSM network. Latest rumors are that the 800w will remain a CDMA only (adding Verizon after the exclusive with Sprint wears off, September to Octoberish) and that the 850w will be GSM only and introduced with AT&T sometime between this September and maybe the holiday season. The 850 is rumored to be closer in size to the Centro than the 800.

The rumor part is the hardest to gauge and of course they could be accurate or way off.

The other part of the rumors is that in spring 2009 the Linux based line (Nova?) will be released saving Palm from extinction.

It all remains to be seen, but it could give you a glimmer of hope.....or not.

Sorry there is nothing solid to give you, but that could change tomorrow, next week or.....
