I ended up paying the $25 for PocketCopy. It did a great job!. Transfered everything (calender, contacts and memos) with no problems. ActiveSync is another issue. I have managed only one sync. Memos, photos, ringtones, and contacts all went OK, but my calendar only synced only two weeks of past entries (future all went OK). And it won't snyc again. Tried everything (reinstalled the ActiveSync, rebooting, resetting the unit, every setting I could find), even uninstalled the Palm OS stuff but still I get an error message to disconnect and reconnect. Have to give that free setup assistance number a try!

I too am having a problem with Active Sync, but only when I use the USB cable. It never registers the cable, or that it is connected, except the battery is charging (though only a trickle). Occasionally, it just decides to work, but not often. Bluetooh is another story. Works like a champ, connects every time, not a problem. PDANet is a blast over bluetooth as well! 2.4 mbps isn't great, but it beats dial up or nothing at all.

Comming to the same conclusion, that the sync cable is the culprit. When I charge the light on the unit goes on instantly. But, when I try to sync it takes minutes for the light to come on. Unfortununately, my laptop has no bluetooth nor IR. I did order a bluetooth adapter from Cybergys. Hopefully, this will solve the problem. I'm also going to buy another sync cord, maybe third party.

There is an upgrade for the 800W that looks at the USB thing and charging the battery. Also once you get the Bluetooth configuration properly done, it works every time.

Good News! I have determined that the cable was not my issue. I did a hard reset today and was able to sync several times without issue. I also figured out that the reason why only part of my calendar was synced the first time was because it was set to sync that way. Changed the settings to all and now I have all of my entries. I think my email situation was the real issue. I have a personal AOL mail account and I wanted to sync my information from my home laptop. At work I also have a shared Microsoft Outlook Web Access email account on a shared pc. I did my first sync before setting up any email accounts and even though I checked off only to sync the email (not the contacts, calendar, etc). I beleive that the settings blocked the rest of the sync. Guess till I figure something else I'll just have to check my work email by connecting through the internet.
