Help! Micro-USB: it's driving me nuts.

And no, unfortunately this is not a pirate joke. I miss the 2.5mm jack on my old Treos, which I used to hook up to my car speakers via a cassette adapter. It was cheap, easy and the sound quality was great.

Is there a Micro-USB - 3.5mm or 2.5mm adapter that works with the Treo 800w?

I just got this item from Amazon, but it doesn't appear to work: no sound comes out of the 3.5mm end when plugged into the Treo. I thought Micro-USB jacks were pretty standard across phones, so I was willing to take a chance on this Motorola adapter.

Before I take a chance on another Micro-USB adapter, has anyone had any luck with a specific adapter for the Treo 800w?

Seidio to the rescue. A Seidio rep in this thread confirms that the Motoroal 3.5 to MicroUSB adapter will not work (as I learned the hard way) and that they will release 800w specific adapters.
