Default How to keep backlight on all the time 800W

Does anyone know how to do this on the Treo 800W but not have the battery wear down? I need to be able to look at my phone to see if i have a missed call or text mesage or e-mail without having to touch anything on the phone?

I believe there is a time-out feature somewhere in the device settings area.

    Default Battery

The 800's battery is horrible to begin with and keeping the light all of the time will discharge the battery that much faster.

Yep, nothing you can do there at all other than to obtain an extended battery, Seidio has a 2600ma battery.

I am going to return this phone and try the Palm Pro. Anyone know if that one will be able to stay lit?

Nope - your desire and wish in this area is nothing more than a feeding frenzy for any device. Battery life = keep the battery charged, use it moderately, keep the battery charged, turn it off when not in use, keep the battery charged and use it moderately. A vicious cycle to say the least.

Have you enabled noise (voice) notification?

I have a Motorola Q9c and I have the backlight time out set to 10 seconds and the display time out set to never and it works fine, even with the standard battery. This is why I am trying to get the 800W to do the same.
