    Default Micro-SD

I've seen/heard in the specs that the Micro-SD slot will be under the battery.

    Anyone confirm?

If so, ummm, that will suck that we'll have to power off to insert/remove a card???

You just gotta take the battery cover off to access the door on the side - really not a problem at all. You do not have to remove the battery, at least not my device.

If true, they will be taking the dopiest "design features" of the BB Curve and older Pearls. The 8830 is behind the battery door, but at least the battery doesn't have to be removed. Newer Pearls have an exterior door, so even RIm listened and learned.

I still scratch my head over who at RIM thought that was a good idea. I sure hope Palm doesn't make that mistake too.

I will be finding out real soon; I just ordered an 800W via Sprint Telesales and a SanDisk 8gb/class 6 card from PCUniverse.

Just to confirm, the microSD slot is on the side of the device. Unlike the Moto Q, removing the cover is easy. So, yes access to the microSD is a breeze.

Ok, now with a 800W. The battery is accessible from the side; however, due to the design the battery cover has to come off in order to allow the cover to swing open. As a note, the battery cover on mine is exceedingly stuck in position. I was heading out the door to the local Sprint store (15 miles) when I tried to remove it one more time.
