does an 8gb card work in the phone with no hacks or anything?

While we're on the subject, what's the diff between SD and SDHC? Is one better than the other for the 800 ?
SD is a Secure Digital format. I believe they are limited to 4 GB max. SDHC is the newer Secure Digital High Capacity format. 4 GB and beyond (currently 32 GB may be the largest, but I think the theoretical limit is much greater).
The 800W can use up to 8 GB and it must be a microSD size. Anything beyond 4 GB will be the HC format.
Keep in mind that if you are using an older card reader with your PC it may not be able to read the HC format cards.

Steve's got it. I have an 8gb card in my 800W, class 4. I have had problems with a few different brands, so I just stick with SanDisk.
