receiving emails from blackberry
Why is it that if an email is sent to my device from a blackberry, I don't receive the email? On the other hand if it is a email that I sent from my Treo 800w to a blackberry and th message is either replied to or fowarded, I receive the email? Is there a setting that needs to be changed on my device or some sort of plugin?
another question I have is after my device auto syncs at specific times to retrieve emails, is it suppose to disconnect from the server afterwards?

Hi and welcome to ET:
I suppose the big question here is if the BB sender actually has your correct email address? Does the email he/she sends actually hit your inbox on the email account?
If the sent email is actually arriving in your inbox on the computer, but not on the Treo, I don't have an answer. One guess would be that you have that address blocked, but it would be blocked for all emails received including the replies you mentioned, which are getting to you.
The BB owner should really take a hard look at the format of your email address in their device. Possibly an extra space, a missing period, no @ sign, something has to be missing or formatted wrong in their address book. When they reply to you they have no choice in the email address format, so it gets to you.
Is this happening with more than one BB owner?
I hope you track it down and that you let us know.

Thanks for your response but I think I need to clarify a few things. First off my company has a pop3 server for our emails but we also use Blackberry which some employees have linked to their pop3 email accounts. I had a blackberry with them but decided to get a phone that I wanted when they started making us pay for the blackberrys. now here is where the problem lies. I can send emails to everyone (pop3) except for employees with Blackberrys. The address checks out correct everything looks right but it keeps buming it back as undeliverable. I've researching this issue a lot lately and Ilm beginning to think it has something to do with my carrier being Sprint. Could this be?
thanx

You might want to speak with the BB Administrator, if there is one. It almost sounds like Emails from you are blocked at the server. Keep in mind that BB mail is routed differently than other systems. Everything goes through RIM servers.
An interesting problem though. Almost as interesting as an employer who makes employees pay for a device that is controlled by them. Speaking of that, does your company use a BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) email service or are they on a BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Service)? BES would require an Administrator. When you say employees have to pay for their BBs, does the company provide them and bill the employee or do people just buy their own devices?
