Slow internet speeds???

does anyone know about people having trouble with enabling rev A. i heard dat wen u enable it, the phone messes up a little bit like not being able to recieve calls...does anyone know about this issue??

If you think your internet isn't quite performing at EVDO rev A standards....it probably isn't. Out of the box, the 800w from Sprint has Rev A disabled. You have to go to a dial pad and hit ##EVDO#. From the menu that comes up, put a checkbox next to Enable Rev A the tap 'ok'. The handset will cycle the radio service. Once it finishes, remove the battery and reinsert for a soft reset. You will now get a noticable increase in net speeds (as long as you are in a Rev A area).

Not sure if this will help any but I asked Sprint's tech support about this and they said "the 800w is 100% EVDO REV A ready out of the box even if the box is unchecked, and there is no need to adjust the settings and do not adjust any settings on the ##EVDO screen".

This doesn't explain how users notice increased internet speeds. Go figure.
