    Default Slow internet speeds???

If you think your internet isn't quite performing at EVDO rev A standards....it probably isn't. Out of the box, the 800w from Sprint has Rev A disabled. You have to go to a dial pad and hit ##EVDO#. From the menu that comes up, put a checkbox next to Enable Rev A the tap 'ok'. The handset will cycle the radio service. Once it finishes, remove the battery and reinsert for a soft reset. You will now get a noticable increase in net speeds (as long as you are in a Rev A area).

    Enjoy

Quite welcome. I live in a 3G area and noticed an increase of speed from 800kbps to 1.5Mbps after doing this. Just wish I could remember the link of the forum I read that off of so I could give the author credit.

You can check the setting via the procedures in the first post. If you are asking how to tell if you are in a 3G area, it would be best to consult the service area maps from sprint. Or you can do ##DEBUG# from the dial pad. Scroll down to the EVDO section to see if you have a RECV SIG STRENGTH other than 0 (zero), if so, you are in a 3G area. Not sure to tell if you are in a Rev. 0 or Rev A area yet.

That's a really good question that I don't have the answer to, if you find out before me, please let me know. If I find out something, I will reply to your post.

I hope someone can help us out here! i get tired of seeing it, as far as i know, data charges don't apply when u are on the everything plan, even when roaming! I hope I am not wrong, most time i use verizon towers because sprint does suck in some areas!

I have never gotten a charge for any kind of roaming (voice or data) since being on the Everything 450 plan. I have been on this over a year with my M520, Instinct and now my 800w and have never incurred a charge.
