text message problem after int't travel Hi,
About a month ago I was in Japan and tried to send a text message to a friend in the US(where I live) using the international dialing code preceding her phone number, e.g. 0101-XXX-XXX-XXXX. They never went through, nor could I place outgoing calls. I did get inbound calls while I was there. I just discovered that she has not been getting some texts from me and figured out the ones she wasn't getting were those I sent in reply. I had noticed that the return number on her texts is preceded by the 0101 code even though the callback number is just the ten digits. She is the only one I tried to text and the only one I'm having this problem with. I've talked to Sprint support and their only suggestion was to do a hard reset of the phone, which I'd like to avoid. I've removed her entry from my contacts and done a soft reset.
Does anyone know how or where my phone may to have cached the international bit that seems to be causing the problems?
TIA,
