where do my email downloads go?

hey benjie, on my treo800w, when i download an attachment---where is it? i have a hotmail account setup. i think i saw it once but can't even find it now. thanks--FK

Files attachments from my old time reading are not normally saved by WM; if one does desire to save the file, you should be prompted with a "save as" screen and at that point, the difficult decision is made. By default, if the file is saved to the device, it is saved to the root folder. The system should allow you to choose a folder if you so desire.

i click on the attachment. it will turn into the windows mobile icon. i've tried to view them but am getting an error"not able to display file".

back to the subkect matter, i don't get a promt to save it anywhere either.....:gasp:

Ok, have you navigated to the file via File Explorer, tapped it and gotten a prompt?
