    Default Word docs are "Read-Only"

When creating a new Word document on my treo 800w and sync’ing with my computer the file becomes “Read-only”. After editing the file on the computer, I then have to save the document under a new name, which creates multiple versions of the same doc.
I tried right-clicking the file on the computer, in Windows Explore, to change the properties but the file is NOT checked as “Read-only”.
How do I edit MS Office files back and forth, from Treo to computer, without having it as read-only and saving as another file?

It has been a long day. The file you are editing, is it still on the device? If so, it will be read only. Once saved and the file closed on the Treo, you can then copy/move it to the desktop and life will be good. I do this routinely.

I get it! I was hoping it would have behaved more like a usb flashdrive but now I know how to work with it.
    Thank you for the help.
