..the LED status light showed the speaker status? I like the fact that the phone vibrates when the speaker is shut off, but it would be GREAT if I could tell at a glance that it's off. Any idea if some clever WM hacker out there has something that can control the LED?

There is such an animal that may be worth gandering at - Treo Alert Pro - I have not tried it myself.

There appears to be an 800w version too http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...postcount=2050, though the release notes say the LED will only ever blink green.

Treo Alerts has bunches of options. At this stage of the game I have notifications turned off 'cause they keep going a bit after the acknowledgment has been made.
