Just a quick note to anyone who "invested" in the Palm charing cradle and keeps getting problems with the cradel not being seen ...

The problem is easy - throw it in the garbage! When you just use the cable on it's own it worked everytime.

Tried to get assistacne from Palm and was met with the "wall of stupidity".

Tried at least five other cradles courtesy of friends ... all have the same issue. Tried multiple host systems Mac and PC ... same problem.

It is a real shame. The Treo is a killer device, but the non-support from palm (seen all your other posts on the forum and agree wholeheartedly), and the IMHO issues that should be fixed (i.e. pressing the buttons N+1 times to wake the device up, constant crashes/reboots, no support of full Bluetooth profiles, non support of bluetooth initiated dialling) I could go on.

All this means that I will soon dump this device and go back to M$ whatever they call PocketPC this week. It hurts to admit it but they have finally got the platform that will kill Palm.

Just thought I shoud save others the months of frustration I have been through.
