Question a few questions about the Vaja cases..

I just purchased a Treo 700P (Sprint) and am not about to start toting it around on a daily basis until I settle on a case...

Initially, I was drawn to the rubberized/clear skin types of cases... but after about an hour sifting through reviews, I am starting to think I should shell out for what appears to be the macdaddy of all Treo cases - the Vaja.

I checked the site and am leaning towards the i-Volution Top Visor, because I like the idea of the added screen protection without having to open the flap every 5 minutes to check for alerts.

Has anyone used this case? Thoughts? Also, with the flap-style covers does this typically become a nuisance?

I am going to be using this puppy pretty heavily for work and want it to stay protected, but still look stylish. I realize this costs about 6x what most cases run, so I'd like to know that it will last and be a worthwhile purchase.

Opinions on other Vaja cases are also welcome.

    Thanks in advance

hey beegirl.... I just noticed your post, sorry for late response.

I've used several Vaja cases. You're right, they are the mac daddy mama of all cases. I've had ostrich, leather (black and brown) and a sweet little two-tone dilly for my Clie UX-50.

But for the Treo, I settled on the Body Glove cellsuit. Horizontal with swivel belt clip and magnetic flap. $15 on e-Bay Why? Because the dadgum clip on the Vaja case makes the Treo stick out like you're Yosemite Sam gittin' ready to DRAW!

Looks ignorant when you're wearing a $700 suit. Scares airport folks half to death when they see something like that coming at them.

The Cellsuit tucks close enough to the belt/body, it's almost like you're wearing a little old small mobile phone. Even riding my motorcycle, it's comfortable with a leather jacket on.

Rest assured... if you get a Vaja, whichever one you buy, it will last forever. All my previous cases are still in use. One is more than ten years old (the ostrich).

With the Treo, I just needed something more practical.

    JMHOOC...

I too love the Vaja case, but the clip is the most rediculous contraption I've come across. I actually grinded the clip off the case to make the case usable.

Problem is, I prefer a belt clip and the Vaja case is not practical for this. If you want the Vaja case, you can order it without the clip.

Is this the cell suit you are using?

Or are you using this one:

I am really struggling with the issue of belt and pocket carry for my new 680. I plan to switch between the two because of wardrobe and cannot decide on a secure solution. I like horizontal cases, but want one that has at least some protection for the phone outside of the case.

I'm using the horizontal (bottom) one. For protection outside the case, I use the invisibleShield in the Treo Store. Guaranteed forever. It's also kind of sticky so less chance of losing grip on the phone.

    rachris2,

How easy does the invisibleShield install on the phone? It kinda looks like it would be tricky.
