Has anyone had success using headsets other than the one that comes with the Treo? I need feedback on this just so I don't think I'm crazy. I haven't heard anyone complain about this, but I've tried three different headsets and none of them work with my Treo 300. Once I plug them in during a call I get this high pitched feedback on both ends of the call. The headset jack on the Treo seems to fit the standard headset, but am I missing something? Are there special types of headsets that could work with the Treo? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any headset that is designed for Nokia 3000/8000 series phones will work with the Treo. Meaning that the 2.5 mm minijack on the end of the headset needs to have 4 conductors (3 black bands) to properly work with the treo.

Anybody have any recommendations for decent retractable headsets with a remote answering button? It would be cool to leave the phone on my belt and just pull up the headset to answer calls.

I found it! (w00t)

http://www.compusa.com/products/product_in...uct_code=288717

It's the Jabra EarBoom Winder for Nokia 3000/8000! The best part is it's only $9.95 plus tax and 1¢ shipping!

Woohoo!
:punk:

Somebody tell me quick if this won't work with my Treo 300, so's I can cancel.

If MillerHifi says all you need is Nokia 3000/8000 compatibility, then you should be good to go! His Treo knowledge is unsurpassed...

Only $9.95? I like the idea of the retractable headphone...

Let me know how it works out.

Chris,

You may want to just go ahead and order it. The deal is only for this week, and I doubt if I'll get mine before it ends. You could try to find it at your local CompUSA, but I had no luck at my local store. They had all the other models, though.
