Noob question: Treo earpiece

Can someone help me with this. I couldn't track down the info. I want to use a earphone on my Treo that I previouly used on my Nextel i830 cellphone. When I check the specs for both it appears they are the same size (if I am reading correctly) but I can't hear anything through them. Anyone have any idea what is wrong? Do I have to enable some setting :sad:

Even though the size is the same, the plug itself needs to be different. The rings on the plug matter, so that's probably why it's not working for you.

One more question. Would you suggest the adapter for $ 5.95 available here or just get a Treo earpiece?

You only need the adapter if you want to plug in standard stereo headphones.
