    Question phone number lookup?

    sorry put this in the wrong section.... should be in software..... : /

    does anybody know of a program where you can type in a name of a business or somebody's name and be able to lookup their phone number and address? i got the gps navigation package for my 680 and thought it woud be a handy program to have....any suggestions?

    There are literally bunches, at least three. I use two that work in tandem for just that - TakePhone (v6 is the lastest one) and 2Day - both work so that you enter a partial number it matches. You enter a partial name and it matches and the great thing is you can configure the search to be on multiple fields.

    i looked at those and it's not exactly what i was looking for.....i mean to look up numbers that aren't in your contacts....i guess more like a phone book.....
    for instance....i need to go to walmart and i type it in and it will look up the number and the adress.....then i can just type it in my gps and it'l take me there.....kindof like 411 even just without a service charge?

    I understand. You can do lookups within the GMaps application and then there is Directory Assistant and GoogHelper - the links are in the PM I sent to you.

    Directory Assistant. I use it almost daily.
