    System Tools or Repair Problems after TomTom Update

    Can anyone help with the following error message I received after downloading the update for the tomtom navigator 5, after downloading it prompted me to Sync and when I did I got this error

    Unable to create handheld database. SyncCreateDB returned 4019.
    HotSync Exchange synchronization failed

    Protocol Error: The requested command is not supported (4019)

    It sounds like you are putting TomTom on a 700w. TomTom will run on a 700w, but isn't easy to install. I know that you can't go through the standard install process. You have to manually copy files over to the 700 and run them from there. This is the same for the initial install, for adding maps, and for any updates that you need to put on. A guy in my office did it and he found instructions on another forum (sorry, I don't have the link). I tokk a few hours to finally get correct. Try searching Google.
