Congrats... hope you enjoy your 650!
I just today received my Vaja leather case. I think it is going to be ideal for me. They are pretty pricey, but has what I want in a case: protection, open screen, and good looks. I got the version without a clip.
There are so many options for good cases out there; you will have to decide what features are most important to you.
(you probably will want to repost this in the "accessories" part of the forum for best responses...)

I know my most concern is that it is a swivel, and "face in".

I saw the Seidio Design Holster for Treo 650 and thought is was terrific, though the price of $25 seemed high, any luck finding this less expensive?

There are a couple of alternatives for holsters in the store including skins (Speck Skin Tight) that come with a holster.

Going to move this to accessories...

I've got the P6 case, $20 and you can orient the unit facing in or out. Love it! Magnets hold the cover on and keep the unit in, which I don't think affect the unit.

Hey Chris, happened on this site from a google search. Nice. I appreciate a site like this, thank you.

Anyway, bought my phone about a week ago. Came from 7135 that I loved. I didn't think this phone would live up to that, but, frankly, it has already far exceeded my expectations. I do like the leather holster case that I bought with it, but it doesn't feel all that 'protective'. Therfor, I am searching for something with little more 'assurance'. The speck will probably go on my Christmas list, but have one question about it. Does it ride as high as it looks on you belt? Currently, and comfortably, my phone sits only slightly above the waistline. Any higher and it would be somewhat uncomfortable to me. I don't want it to lie into my back, but rather down just a little lower.

Can you shed a little light on that? I would really appreciate it. Again, thanks for any insight, and have a blessed holiday season.

I use my Seidio holster with eGrips to ensure that I don't drop it, and the eGrips also help to protect it (slightly).

    Pocket Carry.... Sena Skin Case

Belt carry... Seidio Holster (allows you to carry with screen facing inwards).

Rumor has it Seidio is about to release a holster that will carry a skinned Treo. Nutshell is also another popular "pouch" style case.
