    Default SD kinds and sizes...

What size and kind of SD cards is everyone using? Is there a particular brand to stay away from? Are there cards that are too big, or too small?

I use a 2gig SanDisk Ultra. There are lots of manufacturers out there now. I recommend going with one of the more reputable ones. SanDisk seems to be the leader (IMHO). Many people have had success with A-Data (I've used one of those, too) and Transcend. I'd recommend against shopping for one on eBay. About a year or so ago, there was a bunch of counterfeit ones being listed, and they gave some people some headaches.

As far as size goes, it depends on what you'll want to put on it. Given the way prices have dropped, I'd say don't go lower than 1gig. That gives you plenty of space for documents, music, pictures, video, whatever, especially if you're just starting out. If you know you want a larger collection of, say, music, video or whatever, look bigger. With some tweaking (borrowing a driver from the 680), people have gone past the 700p's published 4gig limit and use the huge cards.

I have tried a few other manufactures and SanDisk has always been the one I have ended up with. Ben
