    Default Simple Cable For Stereo

Hi there, just wondering if a cable exsists that will allow me to plug my treo into my car stereo line in. I would need a wired mic on the cable so I can answer calls and still listen to MP3's/telephone calls thru my car speakers.

    Thanks

It all depends on the inputs for your stereo. For my Pioneer, I had to purchase a bus adapter and a 3.5mm to RCA adapter cable. I just use my Bluetooth headset, and pTunes pauses the music when I receive a call.

My car has a std 3.5mm aux in jack. Would a Cingular store carry the cable that I would need? Also, since my car has a std jack could I just use a different mp3 cable (perhaps one designed for an ipod) instead? Thx!

Ok, I just called RadioShack and they carry the cables. Kreth - Thanks so much for your help and response!

You should just need a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter and a 3.5mm male-male cable. For the adapter, there are several available in the ET store. You should aslo be able to find them locally, you just have to be careful of the pinouts (the Treo jack is not standard).
