    Default SK-6688 Keyboard & Treo 600

    Hello everyone,
    Me again hehe
I have this new keyboard, the SK-6688. I've installed the setup from the CD and it's all ready to go apparently.
However, I must be missing something because I put the phone on the keyboard and start typing and nothing happens.
Has anyone else bought one of these and if so can you please give me a hand.
Maybe I have to turn the infrared on or something?
Tricky OS when you're used to good ol' Windows.
    Thanks in advance
    Tasha

Default I found the answer :)

Okay false alarm, I found the answer, finally. I checked all sorts of search options but finally found the answer. It was acutally method two that got it to work

Q: How do I get into the Treo 600 to change the Setup, to select the infrared wireless keyboard option?

Once the driver has been installed you can enable the IR driver in 2 ways.

    Method 1
    Open the keyboard application
Open the drop menu in the top right corner and select “Wireless Config”
Check the “Detect Wireless Keyboard” box
Now align the IR wand on the keyboard with the Treo’s IR port and begin typing. Please note by default you will have 30 seconds after checking the “Detect” box to begin typing or the driver will automatically disable to conserve power.

    Method 2
Power off /on the Treo phone
Align the IR wand with the IR port
    Begin typing.
Now align the IR wand on the keyboard with the Treo’s IR port and begin typing. Please note by default you will have 30 seconds after powering on the Treo to begin typing or the driver will automatically disable to conserve power.

Oh and it's pretty cool. Once you get your fingers sorted. I mean it's a little bit different to using a normal keyboard, but it's going to save me heaps of time. I'm a hard out sms sender hehe
I'm not spamming, just wanted to let you all know the keyboard is pretty cool and you should all get one

I guess you have to very serious about your SMS messages
    to buy a keyboard.

I feel bad those who have to respond using a regular cellphone. With my Treo, I'm easily out dueling friends with my slick SMS speed. :D

hehe I was rather fast on my Nokia 2280, but it was just a phone. I recently sold a HP ipaq 4700 which I am now sorely regreting.
So I am finding the keyboard a bit of getting used to, infact, both of them hehe
    But, I like the 600
Can't wait until I can afford a 650. They're so expensive in New Zealand
