    It should be. You may need to get a plug adapter depending on the plug on your external speakers. I was going to test for you but the speaker plug to my external speakers is too big. Something like this one should work:

    Yes this is possible. I even run my Treo through my car speakers with the help of a headphone adapter and a auxillary input on my radio's head unit. The adaper that you need is a 2.5mm mono to 3.5mm stereo adapter. You can get one from the website that visor mentioned, or you can find an adapter at Radio Shack. They cost about the same. Once you have the adapter, then you will be able to connect the Treo to any external speakers just as you would with a MP3 player or walkman type portable radio.
