Treo Speaker Cradle

Sorry, I haven't tried it, but do like the looks of it! One downside I see is if using it full time as a way to sync, you will use the speaker jack everytime you put it in the cradle, whether just charging or syncing. Given the Palm history of failed headset jacks, I would think this might be asking for trouble.

If you do pick it up, how about a review here?? I would be curious to hear what someone who uses one on a daily basis might think about it . . .

If so, does this work as a speakerphone as well when you take a call with your Treo docked in it?

HA i got one last week it works wonderfully with jazz music and very good speaker calls this wold be great for those long four hour phone call with clients>

One more question Treofrog. Can a Treo 700P/W/WX that has a silicon skin case on (like JavoEdge's JavoSkin, Seidio's Premium Skin Case, Palm's Flexi-Skin, etc.) fit in the cradle without having to take the skin case off?

IsLNdbOi, I don't have one, but I doubt it fits with the skin on . . I know I haven't found a cradle yet that will work with a skin. But the good news is, I just lift the skin up to sync it, with no problems. When I am done, I pull it back down. I rarely take it all the way off . . Maybe Treofrog can give you more specifics since she owns one, but if I were betting . . . . I like the looks of the OrionGadget! Nice!

Thanks guys. I really like the looks of the OrionGadgets cradle and the fact that it has the speakers built in. My desk is cramped as it is so the OrionGadgets is on my list of things to get. I've seen pictures of people folding / pulling the skin cases up so that the Treos can be docked in a cradle. However, I am using a Palm Flexi skin and that covers the keyboard too so this pulling over will not work for me.

Well my speaker cradle arrived today. The fit is very snug. Cradle came with the USB cable and an extra audio cable. I guess the audio cable was intended to plug a different device into the speaker cradle. The plug on the extra audio cable is too large for the Treo 650. It works good and has a higher volume output that I thought it would. (This is the non-Orion speaker/cradle). I like it, just not sure how much I will be using it. Depends on where I keep it...work or home.
