I think I may have found a fix
Ok I have been reading online as everyone else to find a fix for the bt mac 10.4.4 sync issues. After months of no success with all the suggestions on this site and many other I think I may have found a fix.
Inside your bt preferences on your mac go to the sharing tab. Under this tab you will see a list of items. I had an extra item labled "Serial-1" I removed this item from the list and the sync work perfect. I have tried to repeat the process to break it again and if I add a new port with the name "serial" in it the bt sync fails. Once I remove this port it works agian. I don't know if this is true for everyone else but I thought it was worth a post so others could try it. For me I only have 3 Serial ports in my bt prefs. Hope this helps others.

Hot Sync with MAC via Bluetooth
I had Hotsync working perfectly between my Treo 650 and my MAC OS X Powerbook running 10.3.9. Then it suddenly stopped working.
I turned Bluetooth off at the MAC, then turned it off at the Treo. Then turned it on at the MAC, then on at the Treo and picked my MAC out of the list of available Bluetooth hosts. Seems to work now...mysterious. Oh, and it was on a Wednesday, and I had cereal for breakfast. Those might be equally as significant to the solution.

Folks, I figured it out.
Bluetooth sync will not work with you have Plam Desktop running. Close Palm Desktop.
Also verify the following:
1. Open your Network preference pane
2. Under Show, select Network Port Configurations
3. If Bluetooth-PDA-Sync is there and is checked, that is your problem. Uncheck it.
4. Restart your Mac and try a Bluetooth hotsync.
If that doesn't do it, you could create another serial port and see if it works:
1. Open Bluetooth Serial Utility (Applications > Utilities)
2. Click New
3. Enter Treo-Sync for the port name
4. Click Incoming for the port direction
5. Leave the three square checkboxes unchecked
6. Select Modem for port type
7. Click OK and quit the serial utility
8. Select the new serial port you created in Hotsync Manager connection settings
9. Try a Bluetooth hotsync
Make sure to soft reset your Plam and reboot your Mac.

Worked liked a charm after closing Palm Desktop.
Week number two on Mac Book Pro, Mac hater got a Mac. I love it. Switched 100% to Mac in a week. MS watch out.

Mac Treo Solution
I actually ended up calling PalmOne Mac support and with a half hour session of opening all kinds of crazy places and preferences and deleting this that and the other thing...it finally works! I've had to do it twice now. I would write down the solution but it was way too complicated. Call tech support if this happens to you!:laugh3:
