Extension numbers not appearing in 680 Contacts
Two weeks ago I replaced my old 650 with a new 680, gave the new phone the old sync name, and synced all my old data to it. Seemed to be working fine.
But today I noticed that all the extension numbers have disappeared from the phone numbers in my 680's Contacts list. They are still there in the Mac desktop Palm Address list, but no longer on the phone.
When I try to set up a new Contact record on the Mac/Palm desktop, I can type an extension into the appropriate box, but it never appears on the 680 after syncing.
And if I create the new Contact record on the Treo, there is no way to enter an extension number! This is pretty awkward when someone gives me their extension during a phone call.
NOTE: I am using the regular Palm desktop for Mac (current version) and syncing with HotSync, not trying to use the Mac Address Book or Calendar via iSync or Missing Sync. Maybe I need to change that. (With the iPhone coming down the pipe, how long can Palm survive with such archaic Mac software anyway?)
Thanks for any help
