Well, I beleive I figured it out.

I just moved everything to trash, then went to the terminal and used a root command to empty the trash.

    Poof!

    Good solution.
Instead of force-emptying the trash, sometimes a simple restart will reset permissions.
Be sure you also trashed /Library/Application Support/Palm Desktop and /Library/Application Support/Palm HotSync, as well as /[user]/Library/Application Support/Palm HotSync. A Spotlight search for "palm" can help find vestiges.

Thanks for the reply. I am dual booting XP and OSX with bootcamp so using Spotlight also seems to find mixed results on both drives, but can be filtered down to which drive you want if your careful.

Yeah you have to make sure you are carefull with those sudo commands in OSX because you could very easily wipe your home drive, and you've lost it all...

True that. Curious: are you syncing in WinXP or OSX? (Natch, Spotlight won't find a Palm Desktop installation on your WinXP volume if you never installed it there.) I installed Parallels Desktop/WinXP without Boot Camp, so Spotlight will only find Windoze hits in shared directories.

Good to see another Macaholic 'round here.

I am syncing Windows XP but I was trying to get the Laptop DUN to work with the phone and I had problems so I tried OSX, My Wifes laptop, etc.. Hell if my neighbor was home I would have tried his PC. But After all that I decided to uninstall Palm (Which I installed when I got the Treo) off the osx partition and thats when the problems hit.

    Crazy...
