HotSync crashing 650...HELP!!

Today I tried to update to 1.17. Something happened and it said the operation was interupted (now my 650 just continually reboots, over and over and over. Only making it to the Palm Powered screen). I thought this was a 1.17 problem. So I did a hard reset and went back to Hot Sync without adding in 1.17.....SAME MESSAGE!!!

The HotSync operation was interrupted.
Some of your data was NOT Backed up.

So I checked the log (as if I am going to know what any of the jibberish means)....However, I did notice that the end of the log says:

Backed up System MIDI Sounds.pdb

Why does it say HotSync complete?? If it is complete, why does it say it was interuppted? Now I can't get any of my contacts, calenders, etc. back into my 650. This is killing me.

Any ideas? I am using a Mac, but not iSync, just Palm Desktop. I have tried this with the cable and bluetooth. Each time with a hard reset before Syncing. The firmware is 1.04 and software is Treo650-1.02-CNG.
