HotSync Issues - Treo Forums

Now getting error messages that Hotsync cannot open:

The application "HotSync Manager" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "O<HotSync Manager><HotSync Manager><HotSyncLib.PPC><SetConfigureConduitCallBa ck>"

Mac OS 10.4.2
Powerbook 17:
Treo 650 Verixon
Palm OS 4.2.1

Is there a way to sync/bluetooth without Palm?

Palm/Apple/Treo forums have not been helpful

There are mulitple versions and revisions of Palm Desktop. Have you downloaded the latest and greatest from Palm? That would be my first suggestion, as I'm not sure what version is shipping with the Treo.

You can download the latest version of Palm Desktop for Mac from Palm.

Yes, but I'd recommend executing a successful sync using the Palm HotSync manager prior to using 3rd party sync products. A large number of Mac/Palm Treo owners use Missing Sync (including myself).

Thx much for the quick reply.

I have installed very Palm OS that many have suggested including the CD that came with the Treo 650 (Verizon).

I think because all the installs (& attempted uninstalls) I know keep getting these erros messages:

My problem now is that Palm, HotSync, and Transport monitor ALL do not work.

Have asked the Apple Forums how to find the above files and delete them.

What is really frustrating is that I use to be able to use Bluetooth to sync, then only the USB, NOW NOTHINGG!!!

Any help would be appreciated.

i am having the same problem here. not only can i not sync my phone. i bought a new treo and attempted to install the brand new verizon treo software that came with it and got the shared lib error. i am sending it back! there's no support for either the mac or the palm. argh!

The Treo works perfectly with the mac. If you provide me with a description of what you've done so far and what's happened, I don't mind helping out if I can.

Initially, i upgraded to OS Tiger and that is when my trouble began. i could no longer sync with bluetooth or the cable. I purchased a new treo phone this week (my old one had a scratched screen) and tried installing the Palm Software Verizon had sent with the phone and it would not install (shared library conflicts) and needless to say will still not sync. I took my new software to my school and installed it onto a osx.3.9 and then synced my old treo and it worked. I can't uninstall the palm software at home as there is not an option for that. I have no idea what to do. If i can't sync to my home computer it is pretty useless. Please advise!!!!????
