Media backup with Missing Sync USB
I’m using USB HotSync with my Verizon Treo 650. I’ve got Missing Sync 4.05 and Tiger, Mac OS X 10.4.1.
When I run a HotSync, even though I’ve selected to backup my media files using the Media conduit, I’m not getting any of my photos or movies from the Palm OS Media application. I’m confused, because I assume it should back these files up into either my Palm user profile or my local Documents/Pictures/Movies files.
The Missing Sync guide is not helpful on this point.
Any ideas on how I can get these files transferred during a HotSync with Missing Sync?

As far as picures, when using Missing sync, it stores them in Users/userName/pictures/palm1photo's. Similar directory for video,
Users/userName/Movies/palm1videos.

Thanks for the help! Hm, now I see the folders there but I don’t see any of the pictures that are on my Treo ... either in the Handheld or Expansion Card subfolders.
I guess I’m off to log a support request with Mark/Space. Sigh.

I contacted Mark/Space and they said that since the Media conduit is supplied by Palm and not them, they do not provide support for it when it doesn’t work.
I’m still not getting pictures downloaded into these folders, using Missing Sync with my Treo (and its built in camera and Media application). The only way I can transfer photos right now is via Bluetooth; I don’t have an SD card.

Would iTreo for Mac do the trick?

I’ve been meaning to look at iTreo and didn’t come across SyncBuddy until your post. I would like to try them, but I’d really rather just have the Media conduit work for me in Missing Sync. One less application (and registration fee) to worry about ...

Oops, I had come across SyncBuddy, since it’s from the same developer.

i think the directory folders are for SD card only. Could be wrong.
