MISSING SYNC monopoly - a BETTER Sync?
Been using Missing Sync since v.5, and installed each upgrade hoping it would solve the problems, but they just get worse. For example, with 5.1 suddenly my Treo's CONTACTS had about 65 e-mail addresses relabeled as "Other" making scrolling through the Contacts on the Handheld take longer (a blank space gets created). MarkSpace has NO CLUE why this is happening. Another "upgrade" (5.1.1) caused me to lose entire Task categories. Yet another removed Calendar categories, and still another moved all the Calendar category label colors all around. In the latest upgrade to version 5.1.2 ALL the e-mails were re-labeled as Other (hundreds!)
Sure, I can always restore from a back up, but this is all FAR from a seamless Sync process.
THEREFORE, can anyone recommend a BETTER Mac Os X 10.4 Palm Treo (650) Sync program???

Must be for Mac
Thanks for the heads up, but it MUST be a Sync program for the Mac. Thats the only reason I used MISSING SYNC - it was a program designed to fill the gapping holes left by Palm when they stopped working on Palm Desktop for Macintosh, i.e. Sync with iCal and Address Book, Memo Pad, etc.
Any other sugestions?

Unfortunately, that's it. Missing Sync was created to break the Palm monopoly on sync management software, and those two are your only choices. I have found Missing Sync to be extremely useful, but I'll readily asknowledge its shortcomings. Believe me, I've had a few back-&-forths with MarkSpace about glitches. While their responsiveness is outstanding, they do tend to assign the weak link to some other part of the chain. In their defense, the main problem you're encountering (and the one I've run into repeatedly) is properly mapping data fields between two devices that handle them completely differently. Until it's solved by MarkSpace or another developer, I'll stick with Missing Sync for its feature set and flexibility.
Good luck!
