Default "port is in use" error

After weeks of problem-free bluetooth syncing between my Treo 650 and my G5, I too have gotten the error message"Unable to initiate Hotsync operation because the port is in use by another application."

I've tried everything I've seen suggested in this forum. I have deleted the devices from both the Treo and the G5 and re-established them.

When I use the Bluetooth Setup Assistant on the G5 to configure my phone, I get a message "There were no supported services found on your device" and do not remember seeing this before.

I'm a Verizon customer and using OS X 10.4.3.

I had the problem too.... worked it out (I don't know how) and now have it again due to a hard reset.

Did you ever figure out your problem(s)?

:mad: No. I have not figured out how to solve this problem. It's frustrating because there seems to be no pattern to the error message. This morning, my bluetooth syncing has worked fine for the first time in a week. I've reverted to using the USB cable when bluetooth bombs.
