Default problems installing files using missing sync on tiger

Hi there

i need your help guys
i updated my mac to tiger andnow i cant install files on my treo through misssing sync. I was able to sync my treo with the isync conduit but when i try to install new programs on my treo 650... the window appears on both my powerbook and treo saying that its synchronizing but as the window on the mac indicates that its installing the file that i want, my treo ends the connection and starts to clean up hence i do not get to install any new files

while the window on the mac still runs so i have to force quit the application... any ideas?

I would first make sure you have latest version of Missing Sync. Then try reinstalling it.

Default Missing Sync, Mac OS X and the Treo 650

Quit Missing Sync. Restart. Soft reset your Treo -- your data will be safe.

Open Missing Sync and leave other apps closed. Check MissingSync -> About Missign Sync - It should be version 4.05.

Two things:
1. Make sure the check box for Install files is checked.
2. Click on install tab. Are you installing files into the SD card or into the Treo?
3. Try one file -- just to get it working. Maybe one file is causing a problem

Click back to conduits and uncheck the other stuff. You've already successfully sync'ed your address etc, so this enable you to focus on installing files.

Good luck.

Default Tom Tom Install on Treo 650 with Mac OS X

I was going nuts trying to install Tom Tom on my Treo 650 with the latest Missing Sync. I followed the directions I've found in other postings but it didn't work. The problem is I never run under an account with admin access and the installer for Tom Tom is pretty poorly written.

It needs to install the Tom Tom conduit but doesn't tell you when it can't. If you run as I do, without admin rights, you most likely do not have write access to the conduit folder. You have two options. The first I didn't try, but you should be able to change permissions on the conduit folder so everyone has access. All I did was log in as an administrator and run the tom tom installer there first. Then, I re-logged into my user account, and ran it again. It finally installed to my expansion card.

Hope this helps others having problems.
