Syncing Nightmare
I recently bought a treo 700p. I installed palm desktop, synced it to my macbook pro then bought missing sync and synced it. I recieved a conduit conflict error so went in an deleted palm desktop application and other files, hopefully I got to them all. Unfortunatley I still get the conduit conflict error. Any help would be great.
Thank You

Missing Sync works by disabling several Palm conduits and substituting its own. Conduits should live in the following folder: [volume]/Library/Application Suppport/Palm HotSync/Conduits. When you installed MissingSync, the installer should've moved the disabled conduits to a new folder called Disabled Conduits, also in the Palm HotSync folder. If this didn't happen properly, or if something was altered after the fact, a Palm conduit may be conflicting with its MarkSpace counterpart.
You can go to [volume]/Library/Application Suppport/Palm HotSync and confirm that there's a folder there called Disabled Conduits, which should contain the following conduits: Address, Datebook, ToDo, and Apple. If not, create a new folder, name it Disabled Conduits, and move these conduits there from the Conduits folder. See if this fixes the problem.
If not, or if the above seems daunting or risky, I suggest the following:
1. Delete the Palm Desktop and Palm HotSync folders (mentioned above).
2. Delete the folder [user]/Documents/Palm.
3. Reinstall the latest version of Palm Desktop.
4. After that, reinstall Missing Sync.
Good Luck.

P.S. FWIW, I'm USB and Bluetooth hot syncing a Verizon Treo 650 with a MacBook Pro, so I'm sure we can get you up and running!
