I'm syncing a Treo 700p with Palm Desktop 4.2.2 on Mac OS 10.4.8. Whenever I make any change to any item in any of the four core applications on either Treo or Desktop, I get an erroneous message during syncing that says I've modified the record on one platform and deleted it on the other (in fact, I've modified on one platform and not touched the other) and old and new versions of the record are placed on both platforms. Palm tech support has been no help and from what I've read, Missing Sync wouldn't solve this problem either. Have already tried uninstalling/reinstalling Palm Desktop, exporting and reimporting user data to new user name, hard reset of Treo etc. The only workaround I've found is to never sync but rather keep changing the conduits so that the platform I changed most recently will overwrite the other. Long-term, this solution is really not acceptable--I need to be able to sync. Any help would be much appreciated.
