PocketMac? I have never used that product.
It's the first automated iSync plug-in to sync Entourage data to iCal & the OS X Address Book, allowing you to have your data fully supported & synched by your iSync-supported devices.
So, it copies data to iCal and Address book? Then it relies on iSync (which relies on HotSync) to sync your data to the Treo? I might be mistaken, but it seems like a convoluted process.
What's more, this is a completely 2-way sync. If you make a change to data on your device, it will be replicated to iCal and the OS X Address Book and then back to Entourage.
It's that simple. This doesn't sound so simple.
Okay, let's see if we can help. You've got a Treo 650 and you're running Tiger. Excellent choices on both counts. :D You are going to love your Treo 650 and we'll get it to play nice with your Mac. Since you're using Entourage, you will not be using iSync. We'll use the free Entourage Handheld Sync.
First off, you'll need the Handheld Synchronization for Entourage X
Install Palm Desktop for Mac that came with your Treo 650. If you do not have the CD, you can download it from Palm after entering your Treo 650 installation code. Go through the installation process.
Install the Handheld Synchronization for Entourage X This basically installs specific Entourage conduits and places the default Palm consuits in a disabled folder. In English, condiuts help transfer information for your Contacts/Date Book from your Mac to your Treo.
After this, you'll want to set up your synchronization settings as per Microsoft's website.
Once you've installed both -- and configured your Entourage conduit, you'll connect your Treo and initiate a HotSync (use button on cradle).
One caveat, palmOne has not yet verified PalmDesktop and Tiger. I have had problems with the sync process and Tiger. You might not have problems. If you do, then I highly recommend you purchase Missing Sync. Once you get this process complete, you still might want to consider Missing Sync as it offers a host of features not found with the standard HotSync and is a much more robust solution.
For now, let's see if we can get data going back and forth between your Mac & the Treo 650.
So, the short directions are:
Install Palm Desktop
Install MS Entourage Handheld Conduit
Configure conduit
Intiate HotSync
Keep me posted...Good luck.

If it's checked, it won't hurt to try and initiate a HotSync. The problem with the Mac sync process is that Palm Desktop/ HotSync is a very old application. They have updated it to make it functional, but it pales in comparison to the Windows version. They also haven't confirmed that it works 100% with Tiger and according to their site, it's still in progress. While we have not completed our testing on Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4), palmOne expects the majority of our solutions to work on this version of Mac OS X.
If you were using the iApps (iCal/Address Book) and iSync, you'd still rely on the HotSync (using the iSync conduit). Hopefully, this is starting to make sense. I don't want to overwhelm you -- this should be easier than it is.
Try doing the HotSync. If you still have issues, then I'm going to suggest Missing Sync.

Here is an interesting thread discussing others who have had problems.
You are not alone. Once you get this process completed, it will be an after thought. You've just happened to purchase a Treo 650 during the release of an updated OS..aka Tiger. Tiger broke more than a few applications of mine --- including one of my favorites -- Popcorn.
FWIW, I am using iSync, iCal, Address Book with Missing Sync on Tiger. Until last night when I encountered the dreaded Kernel Panic at startup. Tomorrow, I will transfer all my data to my new 15" Powerbook just picked up today at the Apple Store.:D

Please help!
I just got the Treo 650 and I am running a MAC OSX.3.9.
I have installed everything and set all the conduits and was about to sync BUT nothing happend. I have my ical ready to transfer to the Treo and I have my contacts in the Treo ready to go to the Address Book. I rather not involve Entrourage. I have that set up for something completely different.
Why wont in just sync?
Thanks for any help...
