Default Treo 650 & Panther = no iSync,no address book

New Palm Treo 650 is mine! Super, except I can't sync it to my umteen million Address Book Contacts and iCal appointments etc. I don't want to use the Palm Desktop, I want my normal Mac apps! So, I tried to get HotSync Manager to use iSync as a conduit (as described on the palmOne site)... no luck. I do not get the "Enable iSync for this Palm Device" option. I can't get iSync to see the Palm at all.

As a side note, I use Pocket Mac to Sync an iPaq to my Mac... I wonder if that is a problem? Thing is, if I can't get the Treo to work this weekend, it goes back and I'm sticking with my current iPaq set up. So I don't want to trash all things iPaq just yet... Help?

Congratulations on the Treo and welcome to the Everything Treo forums. I'd like to help, but I'm running out to a concert. Let's see if I can give you a few tips in the interim:

Do you have the iSync conduit installed?

Here is the PalmOne Sync instructions that you might find helpful.

I highly recommend Missing/Sync for the Mac. Not only does it help with the whole Sync process, but it offers a few great features including iPhoto/iTunes integration. Here's a review of Missing Sync.

Gotta run. Good luck. I'll check back later.

I think.. there iPaq? ahem.. We'll get your Treo 650 working.

    Default Boo-Ya!

It was the iSync conduit I needed. Now it's a rollin. Thanks man! But, honestly, between the sync from the iPaq to the Mac using the freaky Pocket Mac app, and then from the mac to the Treo, things look a bit loopy. I'll need to clean em up a bit. It sure is going to take a lot of getting used to though (the switch from MS pocket PC to Palm OS.) I have HIGH hopes for this Palm device. I can't wait to rid myself of that Microsoft... ahem... 'friendly' device.

One thing I will miss: the fact that I made my iPaq look like OS X was running on it (pocket mac add-on.)
