I have gone everywhere and cannot find the specific script:

Modem Script: 1_VZW_Generic_1X_ON_230400

That Chris mentioned in his step by step instructions. I think that is my problem of not being able to get this working on my treo.

By the way: I found other sites talking about putting the phone on a the tethered mode using the cable. I was also not able to connect using that method but was wondering if anyone knows the advantages and disadvantages and whether it is easy to go back and forth.

Default Modem script folder?~!

Thanks for the info! I tried to down load the modem script but I still do not see the 1_VZW_Generic_1X_ON_230400

Am I supposed to use a different one. I really appreciate your answer?!

Look in the Modem Scripts folder.

I swear a lot of you guys give up way too easily. You all need to read more and search Google. It's not so hard. When you go down a wrong path, back up and try something different.

Default Using Treo650 as modem

I have tried the set of instructions and I always get a message that "A modem error occured". I have repeated the process and loaded the modem script and everything went well but it still did not work. I have the National Access from Verizon (I pay $44 a month). I called Verizon and they are no help (they tell me that they do not want to know what I am doing). Anyone with a similar situation?! Can you help?!

Default Sharing Network

So, I've followed the GREAT step by step, only I get no shared Network option. It notes there are "no supported services found on your device" when I configure the phone, so I am unable to select Access Internet. I am pretty Mac/PDA savy, but this has me stumped.

2(d) Enter the pairing password
2(e) Select Access The Internet service.
2(f) Enter the network settings:
