Alarm sounds
Anyone help me work this out. I am trying to add music to the section where the alarm sounds are held so I can wake up to a song rather than the single tones, which have no chance of waking me up, but cant get them to pick up in the alarm dropdown window when picking the tone. What format should it be in ie. MP3, WAVE etc and where should I put it. (within reason please).
Thanks in anticipation.

to add songs to the list of things I can choose from I do the following:
Go into the setting menu
select sounds and notifications
Go tot he manage tab
use the right soft key to open the menu
Select add
then you can use the storage card and pick your song. once you highlight it press select.
Then go back to the Notifications tab select the event then you can select the sound you hear. browse through the list until you find the song you want.

Tried your suggestion Carrie but that doesn't get it to the alarm sounds. By the way I have the treo Pro (850). Thanks anyway.
Any other suggestions anyone. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP

I second your HHEEEELLPPP! Have had my Pro for a couple of days; getting used to the stuff I like and bumping up against the dislikes. However, this alarm thing is weird. Took it to my local Sprint tech store and they couldn't figure it out either. REALLY weird problem. Must've been 4:00 oclock on a friday when they were programming this feature.

Still trying to figure it out. If you get the answer before me please post it. Good luck.

Since I'm pretty dependent on my cell's alarm clock app, I've decided to check out 3 party software. I just downloaded a little alarm clock app from Connective Tools. Looks pretty straight forward (why MS software geeks couldnt' / wouldn't do it is beyond me). I'll let you know what I think in a couple of days.

Thanks Bluepop Looking forward to hearing from you in a couple of days. Many thanks.

Try this, connect your device to your PC. Copy any sound files you want to use as an Alarm to the Windows folder. Disconnect your device and see if that will allow you to select them from within the Alarm setting area.

Hi abx7891 thanks for your suggestion but I have already tried that option as it was the way to do it on previous versions of Windows Mobile. For some reason on V6/6.1 it dont work the same. Thanks for your input though.
