Cannot lock Treo?

Hi!

On my Treo, when I press the red button, it comes up, Locking buttons and touchscreen.....

Well, I have a user, I don't know what he did but it isn't doing that anymore.

Does anyone know where to turn this back on?

If you press the red button to end and then press it again mine comes up with that message and then shuts down.

Mine did the same thing recently. I couldn't figure out how to enable the locking again. I did a Sprite Restore from a couple of days prior and the locking worked again. On treocentral, several members have had to a Hard Reset to restore this function. Of course, I would back up the device first.

WAIT you can just do this

ok when I was tooling around in the registry I found a nifty little setting that will enable the keyguard if it so happens to disable itself ok

HKLM\system\keytouch

Ok the setting is for IsAlignScreen that setting should be zero for the keyguard to work

or just align your screen

I had to take my phone into a Sprint store to have it fixed because the phone would not lock and the screen was not aligning. They did have to replace something in the background of my screen as it would not align properly. And then they had to hard boot reset my phone. Of course as the other person said before, you would need to make sure that the Sprint techs save your contacts, calendar, and various info before the RESET. Hope this helps.....

I have not had any more issues with my phone since they fixed it.
