Cannot Send Contact Details via SMS

I have a Treo Pro from O2 running Winmob 6.1 staight out of the box.

Does anyone else have the following problem?

Sending selected contact details via SMS does not work.

Here's the menu route:
Contacts, Menu, Send Contact, SMS \ MMS, (Select one or more fields), Done, (Select Recipient), Send

No text is transmitted and when you look in Sent Items, there is an entry with [no subject] in the text field.

This should be a really useful feature and I'm gutted it doesn't work as I have been waiting for something like this for ages!!

I finally worked out that my Treo Pro was sending the contact details OK, but most of the mobiles I was sending to could not receive a vCard. If you send to another windows mobile or a Blackberry etc, the vCard is received OK.

I am on ATT and I was having difficulties sending SMS without a text plan. I wento the ATT store and they fixed the problem and I also got a basic text plan 200 for $5.00.

Hello! I had same problem some time ago, untill I found a cheap and perfect tool for resolving this issue - VT -Contact Sender. I found it via google at their homepage. Maybe You can check it out, it has various features on just how to create business card, and how to send it (like 3 options to choose from). works with WM 5 and 6. I just couldnt resist to post this, since i know how annoying this is, especially when you need this done fast!
