    Default GPS on the Pro?

Now i've had the Treo Pro for quite some time now, and I still can't figure out where to get my GPS from. I liked my centro because it had google maps and that worked great but my pro has greatly disappointed me in this category (amongst a million other things). Anyways, i've used sprint navigation (only good for a trial period which is upsetting because the samsung instinct gets the program for free with unlimited usage). There was also another program that offered me yet another trial period (lame). Basically i'm upset because the pro is advertised with supposedly great GPS options, and i'm fresh out. So if anyone can enlighten me, i'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Do you have an application named Google Maps on your device?

Settings --> System --> External GPS --> GPS Program Port: Com4 and select 4800 in Hardware. Next, Windows Manage GPS automatically enabled.

Start Google Maps, tap Menu, Options, GPS Settings, I have mine set to manual - COM4 & 4800 and the Managed by Windows option enabled. Tap OK then press Menu again and then tap Use GPS.

Google Maps works great on the Treo Pro, you can also use Microsoft Bing (formerly MS Live) which does directions and live maps... If you start up MS Live on your phone, it will prompt you to upgrade to BING, or you can go to http://www.discoverbing.com/mobile/ for more info. Both Google Maps and Bing are free and work really well. The benefit of google maps on the Pro versus the Centro is that the Pro has true GPS vs the cell phone tower method used by the Centro, so very accurate.

If you don't have Google Maps on your phone... http://www.google.com/mobile/product...html#p=default
    Good luck!
