    FYI
My wife got a pro last night and i noticed that on the screensaver mode it shows missed calls etc. and teh round palm button i nteh center flashed to let yo know you have a missed call or message.
I am experimenting today with setting the phone not t oturn off and see how the bettery lasts. After the backlight turns off thsi setting leaves the screen showing.

The screen saver mode will eat in to the battery life, no way around it. What one might consider is looking for an extended battery for the device. If the device dimensions are the same as the GSM Treo Pro, there might be one out there that just might fit. A trip to Seidio.com may be on order.

As for Butler, it is a Palm OS application that really does a good job with nagging and reminders.
