Incoming calls not ringing??

My Treo Pro is not ringing anymore for incomming calls but all the other sounds are workign fine. Has anyone had this happen yet?

yes. if you have "synced" your phone to a computer for the first time, it needs to be taken back and reset. not just take the back cover off reset, but taken to the store and completely redone. I dont know why, but i had the same thing after i connected it to my laptop. i tried figuring it out for a week or two, then finally took it back to the store. the guy helping me called up someone who worked there and has one. He said just plug it in a reboot it and it will be fine. hope this helps. still not sure why you have to do it, or why it only does it the first time, but i havent had the problem since.:cool:

Thanks. I never synced it to my computer, only to the bluetooth in the car but might have tried to connect wi-fi to my computer. anyway, I did a master reset as you said and the ringer is back up and working.

Palm has released a fix for this (it was happening to me and I stumbled upon this today, it worked for me!)

What causes the Treo Pro No Ringer issue? The root cause of the Treo Pro No Ringer issue is related to a rare corruption of the Treo Pro’s registry key. This can lead to the smart phone not ringing and causing the user to miss an incoming call.

How does this software update work? This update corrects the registry if it finds it is corrupted and helps prevent further registry corruption.

If you see a Software Version that is T850EWW-1.04-SPT you should install this update. Note: Devices with software versions other than those listed above do not need this update.
